WHO WE ARE
Stroller Drive Canada is volunteer organization that helps source strollers for refugee families. In 2022, while helping a refugee center during the Afghanistan humanitarian crisis, it became clear that many refugee families arrive in Canada with little supplies for their children. We discovered that there is an ongoing need specifically for strollers, which provide much more than four wheels.
Strollers allow parents independence and the freedom to get outside with their children. Refugee claimants arrive with little and are typically placed in temporary housing with very basic supplies. The donation of a stroller gives parents the gift of mobility and the option to explore their new Canadian home.

Making a Difference One Stroller at a Time
Are you a parent, student or a teacher at a Canadian elementary school? We are looking for additional schools to join our Stroller Drive network to support local non-profit immigrant resettlement organizations. We are currently donating strollers within BC to non-profits such as Immigrant Settlement Services BC and Options BC.
A Stroller Drive involves collecting gently used or new strollers from your community which will be donated to one of our partner non-profits. Typically we recommend hosting a school drive for 2 weeks, which allows for school promotion and student involvement.

EMPOWER KIDS
Service Learning in Action
At Stroller Drive Canada, we are passionate about empowering kids by learning through service. By engaging children in the collection of strollers, they easily make the connection of how strollers provide mobility and improve the lives of families. The initiative lends itself to powerful conversations around what life might be like for someone who can't afford a stroller. Students have the opportunity to assist with school promotion and learn about marketing, clean the strollers before donation and learn about making a difference!
